(Somerville, NJ – May 2016) – Dancker, Sellew & Douglas (DS&D) President & CEO, Steven Lang, has been named a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the state of New Jersey. The awards program, which is celebrating its 30th year, recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. DS&D, an interiors solutions building company, was founded in 1829 and is the only company in the interiors segment for the state of New Jersey that is a finalist.

Since taking over as President & CEO for DS&D namesake Scott Douglas in 2012, Lang has instilled a customer-centric philosophy. His clear, strategic blueprint is aimed at building and sustaining market leadership position for the century-plus-old organization. Exemplary successes under Lang’s tenure include the recent announcement of a distinctive third consecutive year Platinum Partnership with leading furniture manufacturer Steelcase, which places DS&D in the top 5% of Steelcase dealers nationally. Lang spent the previous 18 years as a regional leader for the company, and was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges.

Lang is among a select group of talented peers from a variety of business sectors. About the recognition, Lang remarked, “I am humbled and honored to be acknowledged by EY and its distinguished judges, and to be in the midst of such leadership in my peers. It reinforces our beliefs about the modern workplace and that excellence is achieved through independent thinking, transparency and collaboration.”

Now in its 30th year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.
