Challenged with a cramped space that restricted Media Specialist Sahan Opdenberg from fully showcasing innovative STEAM solutions and housing the essential books for her library/media room, she saw an opportunity to create lasting change and entered our Reimagine Your Classroom contest.

Partnering with dancker and Smith System to bring their vision to life—co-creating an environment that seamlessly blends the best of analog and digital learning. Now, students are inspired to explore the worlds of reading and coding side by side, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a passion for discovery.

Faced with an outdated and inflexible classroom, Special Education Science teacher Katherine Winick entered the 2022 Reimagine Your Classroom Contest to transform her space into a dynamic learning environment.

Through a collaborative design process with dancker and Smith System, her classroom received a complete furniture overhaul—introducing flexible seating, improved storage, and mobile workstations to enhance student engagement and support diverse learning needs. The result was a vibrant, student-centered “Science Oasis” that empowers both students and educators to thrive.

Bethanne Strippoli, a dedicated G&T teacher at Little Falls No. 1, won our inaugural Reimagine Your Classroom Contest, earning a complete classroom transformation.
