Creating a Workplace Strategy That Scales
As workplace expectations evolved and business priorities shifted, our client set out to reimagine how its real estate portfolio could better support its people and future growth. What began as an effort to reduce its footprint from 1.8 million square feet to approximately 750,000–800,000 square feet evolved into a broader transformation of how employees work, connect, and collaborate.
Since 2018, dancker has partnered with the organization across five projects totaling more than 450,000 square feet. Working alongside the client and their design, project management and GC partners, we helped establish workplace standards centered on flexibility, employee choice, and a hub-and-spoke model designed to support a distributed workforce while creating a consistent employee experience across locations.
The partnership began with listening and learning. Through workplace research, stakeholder engagement, pilot environments, and employee feedback, the project team explored how work was changing and how the workplace could evolve alongside it. Those insights informed a people-first workplace strategy designed to support connection, focus, and collaboration.
As the workplace strategy evolved, so did the partnership. Administrative offices, collaborative environments, focus spaces, meeting areas, and amenity settings were brought together through an integrated approach that combined furniture, architectural walls, technology, and workplace strategy. As workplace technology became a greater part of the overall experience, dbe systems joined the team to help align technology solutions with the broader vision. The success of that collaboration established dbe systems as a trusted technology advisor across future projects, helping create a connected workplace ecosystem that could adapt to changing business needs while maintaining consistency across locations.
Today, the partnership continues to support the organization’s long-term real estate transformation. The result is a portfolio of workplaces that balances flexibility, collaboration, and employee choice, demonstrating how strong partnerships and intentional workplace strategy can create lasting value for both people and business.
