In an effort to consolidate their real estate portfolio, Getinge recognized the need to change their workplace standards to accommodate more employees in their existing Wayne, NJ space. They also seized the opportunity to create a modern space to better support how their employees work. They wanted a place that represented their brand and culture while inspiring employees to focus on their mission: saving more lives together with their customers.
The facility already had good ceiling and lighting options in place – which meant they were able to focus their budget on furniture and technology. dancker worked with Getinge to update their workplace standards by analyzing options to minimize the square foot per person and increase the number of collaboration and focus spaces. The goal was to give employees greater choice over where and how they work.
Changing from higher to lower panels and relocating some private offices allowed more natural light to filter into and throughout the space.
To help co-create their new space, our team had “live design” sessions with Getinge to see real-time changes and facilitate decision making. Our team included AV Design Engineering to ensure technology solutions like room scheduling, sound masking and digital signage technology further created a state-of-the-art, effective space for greater productivity and engagement.
The open and collaborative space encourages communication between departments and colleagues to improve productivity and promote healthy employee relationships. The shared environment is designed to facilitate innovation and creativity. Teams are now using their space to come together and work towards achieving common goals. The new environment supports a culture of continuous learning and fosters opportunities for growth. Collaborating with colleagues enhances and cultivates growth far beyond individual comfort zones – helping to propel their business to new heights.
