Project Story

United Way Washington, DC
8,600 SF

Our team collaborated with United Way and sshape to design and fit-out their new 8,600 square foot office space in Downtown Washington, DC. One of the largest privately funded charities in the world, the community-building nonprofit wanted to upgrade their workspace to energize their staff to return to the office post the COVID pandemic.

With the desire to develop an open-plan space, sshape designed a space with coworking spaces and workstations with minimal private office areas. This approach supports free communication, activates opportunities for collaboration, and propagates natural light throughout. Solutions that our team provided included demountable glass walls furniture solutions to co-create a space with natural wood tones, breathtaking top-floor views, and vibrant branding to produce a welcoming and impactful environment that both reflects and supports their mission.
