Project Story

Aware of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) plans to sell their building at 1307 New York Avenue, our team served as their trusted advisor to help them envision their future office and offer support with future transition planning.

Our partnership with CASE began in 1998, when we performed the original furniture installation for their office. We maintained their furniture until they sold and vacated their building in 2020.

For their new office, the dancker-Steelcase team led a change management meeting and provided case studies and move experience guides. The goal was to assist them in moving away from mostly private offices toward a more open plan.

After touring several manufacturer showrooms with OTJ Architects in May 2021, Steelcase and dancker were selected to provide furnishings for CASE’s new location at 1201 Eye Street.

The project included workstations for staff and the executive leadership team in a blended typical, hoteling stations, lockers, reception, work cafe, conference rooms, open work areas, library, phone rooms, TV studio, wellness room, and a storage room. Together with CASE, we created a policy guide for open office and post-pandemic protocols.

We were able to provide our longstanding and valued client new furniture that supports their mission to have an inspiring workplace that amplifies the work CASE does to advance the education field.
