dancker provided furniture and casework solutions for their new, private, 11,500sf Oncology Infusion Center located on the 4th floor of an existing office building in Saddle Brook, NJ. The space features multiple exam rooms and a state-of-the-art USP 800 compliant pharmacy cleanroom for compounding oncology treatments.
OVERCOMING SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES
A long-term client, dancker has fitted out multiple locations with furniture and casework solutions by Kimball. When supply chain challenges caused the expected lead time for Corian countertops to exceed 10 weeks, dancker and Posen Architects collaborated on an alternate solution for casework to present to the client that would ensure they could maintain their schedule.
The project team worked closely with dancker’s manufactured interiors construction team, ForBuild, to explore using a DIRTT casework solution in exam rooms and key spaces. With DIRTT’s ability to manufacture and ship prefabricated solutions in four weeks, the team was able to specify and order DIRTT casework with Corian countertops and have them installed without any delays to the project schedule or any impact to client’s budget.
Our ForBuild team was able to work closely with the project team and obtain site measurements, produce drawings, and place the order in just two weeks. The team was also able to ensure that the toe kicks were shipped first so that flooring was able to be installed within six weeks from jumping on the project, ensuring the established construction schedule was met.
