(Somerville, NJ – April 27, 2018) dancker saw Administrative Professionals Day as an opportunity to celebrate all employees within the organization and thank them with a team lunch prepared by our Executive Leadership team.

After braving pouring rain while grilling for 140 people, President & CEO Steven Lang confirmed that the company would stay focused on providing interior solutions instead of branching out into the food service industry! He also shared his admiration of dancker’s employees. “What we’ve learned today is it’s hard to plan and coordinate all the details, especially when you need to adjust for unforeseen events like uncooperative weather. To our Operations team who manage the logistics of project installations every day – you guys are the best at what you do.”

Continuing the sentiment, Lang thanked all staff, both present onsite and remote via video conferencing, “for being awesome employees and making this place what it is. If it weren’t for you, there wouldn’t be any of us, and there would not be a dancker.” Each employee received a personalized note from management acknowledging their contribution to the organization. Staff who were unable to attend the luncheon were mailed their thank you notes along with a gift card “to pick up lunch on dancker” any time.

The festivities concluded with a drawing to win concert tickets for U2’s summer tour and an invitation to employees to participate in a money-filled helium balloon grab. The latter consisted of $1,000 being divided into various increments and stuffed into balloons so the value of each could only be revealed once the balloon popped.

Observances such as Administrative Professionals Day and Employee Appreciation Day were created for companies to thank staff for their hard work and effort throughout the year. This display of appreciation is an opportunity to increase engagement by strengthening the relationship between company leadership and employees.
